Why is our Waiting Room empty?

Historically, our Waiting Room was very busy; with patients often sitting for long periods of time.
Clinicians now make every effort to keep to appointment times and length, as much as possible.
This means that patients spend very little time waiting, before being called through to their appointment.
In addition to being more convenient for patients who we know have other commitments, there is much less chance of catching coughs and colds by sitting in a public area for a period of time.

We appreciate your help to ensure this system continues to work well.
Please note that NHS England allows ten minutes for each GP appointment.
In a ten minute slot, your GP will need to:
**Listen to the patient’s concern
**Carry out an examination and ask questions
**Decide on a course of action
**Organise referrals
**Type comprehensive consultation notes
This is why it is important that patient’s don’t attend with a ‘list’ of problems – unless they are connected to the same problem.
We appreciate your continued support.
